About
Who we are and why we started this.
VIBE Afterschool is an initiative of Juno Maps, a technology company based in Easton, Maryland. It started with a simple observation: the tools that are reshaping work are available to everyone, but most students will never touch them until college or later. We think that gap matters.
Dustin Rauch
Dustin is the CEO of Juno Maps, a technology company that builds software for practitioners. He is also a father. VIBE Afterschool grew out of a question he kept coming back to: if the economy is changing this fast, what should we be doing for the kids who are in school right now?
The answer was not another curriculum or another app. It was something simpler. Put students in a room with professionals who actually build with AI, give them the same tools, and let them make something real. That is the entire idea behind VIBE.
Dustin wrote about the thinking behind the program in The Gap, a long essay on how AI is changing careers and what communities can do about it.
Juno Maps
Juno Maps builds software for the people who actually run things. The company is headquartered in Easton, Maryland, and is part of the RAUCH family of companies. RAUCH Inc., a full-service engineering and architecture firm also founded by the Rauch family, is VIBE's founding sponsor. We want to be transparent about that relationship: the same family is behind both the initiative and its first sponsor.
VIBE Afterschool is a community initiative of Juno Maps. It is not a product. It does not generate revenue. The framework is free, open-source under CC BY 4.0, and available for any school or organization to use, adapt, and share.
Administrative costs for the program are absorbed by Juno Maps. Sponsorship funds go directly to student-facing expenses: AI tool subscriptions and showcase materials.

This is the beginning.
VIBE Afterschool launched in April 2026. The first pilot cohorts begin Fall 2026. We are honest about the fact that this program has not been tested yet.
We believe the idea is sound. We believe the tools are ready. We believe communities have the people and the will to make this work. But we will not know for certain until students are building real projects and we can measure what happened.
Our plan is to establish a dedicated nonprofit organization to manage VIBE Afterschool and future education initiatives. Until that entity is in place, Juno Maps serves as the operational home for the program.
If you want to be part of what comes next, reach out. We are looking for schools willing to run the first pilots, professionals willing to guide, and sponsors willing to put tools in students' hands.
