About
Who we are and why we started this.
VIBE Afterschool is an initiative of Juno Maps, a technology company based in Easton, Maryland. It started with a simple observation: the tools that are reshaping work are available to everyone, but most students will never touch them until college or later. We think that gap matters.
Dustin Rauch
Dustin is the CEO of Juno Maps, a technology company that builds software for practitioners. He is also a father. VIBE Afterschool grew out of a question he kept coming back to: if the economy is changing this fast, what should we be doing for the kids who are in school right now?
The answer was not another curriculum or another app. It was something simpler. Put students in a room with professionals who actually build with AI, give them the same tools, and let them make something real. That is the entire idea behind VIBE.
Dustin wrote about the thinking behind the program in The Gap, a long essay on how AI is changing careers and what communities can do about it.
Juno Maps
Juno Maps builds software for the people who actually run things. The company is headquartered in Easton, Maryland, and is part of the RAUCH family of companies. RAUCH Inc., a full-service engineering and architecture firm also founded by the Rauch family, is VIBE's founding sponsor. We want to be transparent about that relationship: the same family is behind both the initiative and its first sponsor.
VIBE Afterschool is a community initiative of Juno Maps. It is not a product. It does not generate revenue. The framework is free, open-source under CC BY 4.0, and available for any school or organization to use, adapt, and share.
Sponsorship funds go primarily to direct student costs: AI subscriptions, showcase materials, and transportation. The program currently operates lean. As it grows, we may retain a portion to cover the coordination and infrastructure required to run it responsibly at scale. We will be transparent about that as it changes.

This is the beginning.
VIBE Afterschool launched in April 2026. Cohorts are running now.
We believe the idea is sound. We believe the tools are ready. We believe communities already have the people and the will to make this work. We will publish outcomes openly as cohorts complete, so the framework keeps improving.
Our plan is to establish a dedicated nonprofit organization to manage VIBE Afterschool and future education initiatives. Until that entity is in place, Juno Maps serves as the operational home for the program.
If you want to be part of it, the door is open. We are looking for schools ready to run a cohort, professionals willing to guide, and sponsors willing to put tools in students' hands.

What it is, in one sentence
VIBE Afterschool is an open, twelve-week afterschool framework that teaches students in grades 7 through 12 to direct generative AI and ship real things with it, guided by working professionals from their local community.
Who founded it
VIBE Afterschool is an initiative of Juno Maps, founded by Dustin Rauch, who is also CEO of Juno Maps. The full essay that frames the mission, The Gap, is published on this site.
Where it stands
The framework is intentionally early. Pilot cohorts are launching now, results will be published openly as cohorts complete the twelve weeks, and the entire framework is licensed CC BY 4.0 so any community can adopt and adapt it.
How to use the assets
The site logo and Open Graph image are available at vibeafterschool.com/assets/vibe.svg and vibeafterschool.com/assets/og-site.png. The CC BY 4.0 license covers reuse with attribution to VIBE Afterschool / Juno Maps.
Founder bio, in 50 words
Dustin Rauch is the CEO of Juno Maps, a software company that builds operating tools for small and mid-sized businesses, and the spatial-intelligence platform Smart Site Plan for governments and contractors. VIBE Afterschool is his open contribution to a problem he sees as a parent and a builder.
